There is this energy that can only be captured in live music, something seemingly tangible that floats between the musicians and their audience, igniting the music itself and burning it into our memories. Back in the day our memories of these experiences were all that we had, but with the technologies available today, not only do we get professionally mixed and produced live recordings but also an unbelievable amount of audience tapes. Although many are unaware, there is a deep community beneath the live music circuit specifically within certain genres. After years of taping and tweaking this community has perfected the audience recording and supplied the world with an immense amount of free music. This winter, Rasch and Burn will once again dive into the depths of this arsenal, spanning generations of great tracks in an attempt to capture the experience of live music and broadcast it over the radio waves.
